NGO Voice of Romni, together with the German organization SODI e.V., invites Roma civil society organizations to apply for a three-year project, “Strengthening the Capacity of Roma Organizations to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence” (September 2026 – September 2029).

Organizations from all regions of Ukraine that work actively with Roma communities and have direct experience and interest in preventing and responding to gender-based violence (GBV) are invited to participate.

Please note: grant initiatives under this project will be funded exclusively within the scope of GBV-related work (awareness-raising, case management, safe spaces, referral mechanisms, etc.). Organizations whose activities fall outside this scope are advised not to apply.

What selected organizations will receive:

  • Training in project management, financial reporting, advocacy, and GBV prevention
  • Individual mentoring from specialized experts
  • Access to two grant cycles for implementing their own initiatives (from €3,000 to €24,000)
  • Office equipment (a laptop and a multifunction printer)
  • Membership in a network of Roma organizations and participation in joint advocacy activities

What is expected of organizations:

  • Readiness to engage three key staff members (a director, a financial officer, and a social worker/case manager) for the full duration of the project
  • Readiness for these three individuals to attend training events in person (a detailed schedule is provided in the application form)
  • Compliance with the financial reporting requirements and standards set by the donor

A total of 12 organizations will be selected through this competitive process. Applications will be evaluated by a committee on a 100-point scale, based on five criteria detailed in the application form.
