From the US to France: Shortly after participating in the UN Commission on the Status of Women in New York, Anzhelika Bielova travelled to Strasbourg for the 19th Council of Europe Dialogue Meeting with Roma and Traveller Civil Society.

Anzhelika Bielova was awarded for her active and persistent efforts to ensure equal rights and greater opportunities for Roma men and women.

April 8 is more than just a date on the calendar. It is a day when we remind the world again and again: the Roma community exists, resists, grows, and creates the future.

During the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, where women leaders from around the world gathered, we successfully hosted a side event to unite the voices of Roma women activists.

One of the key areas of our work is the development of women’s leadership and the Roma civil movement. Today, women-led organizations play a crucial role in supporting their communities by creating new opportunities for growth, education, and integration.
