Our team works with people who remain in potentially dangerous areas.

We understand very well how valuable first aid knowledge and skills are for them. A person with severe bleeding or who has stopped breathing may not be able to wait for medical workers if there is no one nearby who knows how to act.

That is why we continue to create opportunities to make life-saving knowledge accessible to as many people as possible. Throughout April this year, we held first aid training sessions in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. Almost 150 people attended them, including around 50 teenagers.

The instructors taught participants how to provide assistance in cases of various injuries: how to assess an injured person, stop bleeding, apply a tourniquet, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and clear the airway. A special focus was placed on practice. Participants worked through each movement and learned how to act without causing harm to an injured person. The instructors explained in detail how tourniquets, bandages, occlusive dressings, and other life-saving tools are used. They also separately discussed personal safety when providing assistance in extreme conditions: how to assess the situation around them, avoid putting themselves and others at risk, stay calm, and act step by step even under stress.

Those who completed the training received certificates, as well as individual first aid kits for rapid response in emergency situations.

@voice.of.romni 🗓️ Упродовж квітня цього року ми провели тренінги з домедичної допомоги у Запорізькій, Харківській та Дніпропетровській областях. Їх відвідали майже 150 людей, серед них — пів сотні підлітків. Це стало можливим у результаті співпраці ГО «Голос Ромні» та Save the Children (Врятуймо дітей), Save the Children in Ukraine авдяки щирій підтримці американського народу, наданій урядом Сполучених Штатів Америки.
