Economic Empowerment
The NGO Voice of Romni actively works to strengthen the economic empowerment of Roma women and women from vulnerable groups through retraining and professional development projects. In our women’s spaces, they can acquire new professions, gain valuable skills, participate in grant projects, and start their own businesses. These initiatives help women achieve financial independence, enabling them to support their families and contribute to the overall economic growth of their communities.
In 2023, together with OXFAM, we awarded 15 business grants to Roma entrepreneurs to launch new ventures or revive businesses affected by the war. This marks another step toward economic stability for the Roma community. Projects like these allow Roma families to become financially self-sufficient and secure. Investments in small business development not only improve the standard of living for individual families but also support the recovery of the economy during times of crisis.
