Isaura’s story is one of a determined choice to follow her own path toward better opportunities and an independent life.

Due to the war, she was forced to leave her home in the Krynychanskyi district of Dnipropetrovsk region and relocate to Kryvyi Rih with her children. Raising four children, one of whom has a disability, Isaura faced daily challenges and a constant struggle for a dignified future.

At a difficult moment in her life, Isaura learned from her neighbors about the free retraining courses offered by Voice of Romni. She took a bold step toward her dream—acquiring a profession and gaining the skills needed for work.

“I decided to join because I don’t have a formal education. Money is very tight right now, but the training is free. I can learn a profession and then earn money on my own to support my children. We had a great instructor—she explained everything clearly and thoroughly, guiding us step by step,” Isaura shares.

Isaura also attended our additional sessions on SMM, leadership, business Ukrainian, and training on gender-based violence. These lessons help her understand how to promote her own business and stand up for her rights. Additionally, participants of the extra lectures received food packages and dignity kits—essential items needed for everyday life.

“I would like to do manicures at home—have neighbors and acquaintances come over so I can gain experience, and later work in a salon. I am very grateful to Voice of Romni for giving us the opportunity to learn, earn money independently, and move forward,” Isaura adds.
