August 19 — World Humanitarian Day!
For us, it’s another opportunity to thank everyone who supports people through the hardest of times, every single day.
Humanitarian aid isn’t just about things. It’s about the chance to withstand, to recover, and to keep moving forward. Since the start of the full-scale war, Voice of Romni has been systematically supporting people in vulnerable situations. To date, we have provided assistance to more than 115,000 people across various regions of Ukraine.
Behind every number is more than a count of kits distributed or services provided. Behind it are people who, in their hardest moments, didn’t have to face their struggles alone.

We know that humanitarian support can’t end with simply handing over what’s needed. It has to help people rebuild their balance, their dignity, and their ability to move forward. That’s why, alongside humanitarian response, we provide opportunities for education, employment, development, and economic empowerment. This creates a more sustainable, long-term impact.
Our organization offers a range of free services in the Zakarpattia, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions. Among those we support are Roma families, internally displaced people, large families, families of servicemen and servicewomen, single mothers, and other vulnerable households: people who have lost their homes, their source of income, or endured other traumatic experiences of war and need support — whether physical or psycho-emotional recovery, financial assistance, or other forms of aid.

On World Humanitarian Day, we thank everyone out there doing the work. Everyone who supports us financially. Everyone who volunteers. Everyone who simply doesn’t look away from someone else’s hardship. Because humanitarian aid begins with a simple decision — to stand by a person when they need it most.
