The war has brought immense challenges: people have lost loved ones, homes, and jobs. They face uncertainty, as well as threats to their physical and emotional well-being.

In these circumstances, even basic assistance is not just a necessity — it is a vital act of care and support.

We believe that every woman should feel supported and never left alone to face difficulties. That’s why the Voice of Romni team organized the distribution of dignity kits for Roma women in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, and Uzhhorod. Each kit includes essential daily items:

  • Shampoo, body soap, toothpaste and toothbrush, hand cream, deodorant, and laundry soap
  • Intimate hygiene wipes, body wipes, sanitary pads, and antiseptic
  • Underwear and socks
  • Comb and bath towel
  • Flashlight

This initiative was made possible thanks to our partners at HIAS Ukraine. By the end of February, 280 Roma women in the cities where our organization operates will receive these dignity kits. We believe that care and solidarity help women maintain their confidence and hope for a better future.
