Association of Roma women "Voice of Romni"
— is a civil society organization dedicated to empowering women, emphasizing their active role in decision-making, the economy, and other vital social processes.
We provide comprehensive support to Roma women and their families by offering humanitarian aid, educational opportunities, psychological counseling, and legal protection. Our mission is to strengthen Roma communities through social integration programs, leadership development, and the protection of their rights.
After the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine, “Voice of Romni” expanded its activities to include humanitarian assistance for Roma families, internally displaced persons, and those affected by the war. We initiated the provision of food supplies, hygiene products, home repairs, and multi-purpose financial support for the most vulnerable. Information about our current support programs is available on our website in the news section and on our social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube, TikTok.
One of the key areas of our work is educational projects for children and youth: Ukrainian language, mathematics, and history lessons, preparation for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT), as well as psychological and speech therapy support. In our children’s spaces, we ensure access to quality education even in the most challenging conditions.
We focus separately on combating gender-based violence by developing a network of Roma women activists advocating for community rights at various levels. Additionally, we support young Roma women leaders, helping them implement social initiatives.
“Voice of Romni” actively works to enhance the economic empowerment of Roma women through professional training programs and entrepreneurship support. We have established safe spaces where women can access psychological and legal assistance, participate in retraining courses, secure grants to develop their businesses, achieve financial independence, improve their families’ living standards, and contribute to the economic development of Roma communities.
